For trainers who have previously attended train-the trainer training. Suited to anyone working in the care industry who has a need and desire to teach moving and handling in a structured and appropriate manner.

1 day.
Prerequisite
Delegates on the initial course must have moving and handling experience.
The requalification course should be completed every two years and delegates will be asked to produce their current certificate on the first day of the course.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a Norvic Training (UK) certificate and we will arrange membership to National Back Exchange if required.
Course Venue
Our training centre at Bowthorpe Hall just outside Norwich has an equipped handling training room.
Syllabus
- Posture and Ergonomics. How to teach this appropriately with the aim of keeping workers safe.
- Up-to-date moving and handling techniques and use of equipment such as hoists, standaids, glide sheets.
- Delivery of training, efficient use of training materials such as PowerPoints. How to deliver in an effective way to ensure transfer of information from short to long term memory.
- Participants practice delivery and are assessed on: Use of equipment including: Introduction, Communication, Dealing with errors, use of training materials, care of service user / worker, accuracy of technical information, health and safety, timing, close.
