Moving With Dignity
Course Aims / Content
By the end of the session the learner will have a firm understanding of how to assist the person they are caring for to move as independently as their ability allows and in a manner that preserves dignity.
The carer will maintain safety of the person being cared for and all involved in the assist, risk assessing the situation is included on the course. Communicating effectively with the cared for and fellow carers is a crucial part of safe moving.
Content will include; firm understanding of the controversial techniques that can no longer be used and are seen as abusive and unsafe. Equipment which may be issued by an occupational therapist: Stand easy, Return, Sara Stedy, Standaid, Hoist and bed work with glide sheets etc.

1/2 day (3.5 hours)
Certification
Norvic certificate of attendance.

Courses are priced at £250 for up to 12 learners to attend (exc. VAT).
