First Aid for Foster Carers
Course Aims / Content
This course includes all contents specified for an Emergency First Aid at Work course in L74 First Aid at Work, The Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981: Guidance on the Regulations, published by the UK Health and Safety Executive. However, we will amend this to ensure the emphasis is on areas pertinent to the treatment and care of babies, children and adolescents. In practice this means that subjects such as but not limited to choking, resuscitation, burns and wounds and bleeds, fractures, illness.
Delegates will gain a certificate in first aid awareness and skills to respond to first aid situations involving the children in their care.
