Course Aims
To train delegates in the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively administer the medical gases of oxygen and entonox (if required) in the pre-hospital environment.
Suitable For
Any person who may have to administer medical gases as part of their pre-hospital care role.
Course Length
2 hours (or 1 hour if added onto the end of a first aid course)
Pre-requisite
Delegates attending this course must be qualified first aiders.
Certification
All delegates will be awarded a Norvic certificate of attendance which is valid for one year.
Course Venue
Closed courses are held at our venues in Norwich and Cambridge or alternatively, courses can be arranged at clients' own site anywhere in the UK (subject to suitability).
Syllabus
Introduction to oxygen and entonox, Indications for administration, Equipment checks and assembly, Safety precautions and procedures, Contra-indications of oxygen and entonox, Administration procedures. BLS refresher will be covered on the two hour course.
