Course Aims
To train healthcare professionals in basic life support, simple airway management and safe automated external defibrillation (AED) enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of an ambulance or cardiac team.
Suitable For
Any healthcare professional who may be required to deal with a cardiac arrest as part of their occupational role.
Course Length

Prerequisite
Delegates must be employed in an environment where this knowledge and skill is required for genuine clinical reasons and evidence of this may be requested on course booking.
Certification
Delegates will receive a Norvic certificate of attendance, which is valid for three years.
Course Venue
Closed courses are held at training venues throughout East Anglia or alternatively, courses can be arranged at your own site anywhere in the UK (subject to suitability).

Basic life support, Introduction to cardiac rhythms, Defibrillation, Basic airway and ventilation, Monitoring cardiac arrest rhythms, The universal algorithm, Practical skill stations.
