Message from Wendy

We did it! We are so pleased to report that with the help of all of our customers we have raised enough money to buy a defibrillator for a local First Responders group! Funds were raised from the sale of resuscitation face masks with 100 % of profits going to the cause. Thank you so much to everyone who purchased a mask.

This year we are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society for research into dementia. To kick this off we are sending two members of the team off on a China Trek. Read More

We are looking forward to our first Nutrition Study day this month. The day will include Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST), explanation of Dysphagia - DYS (difficulty)  PHAGIA (to eat) and there will be a chef on hand to demonstrate the effective use of liquid foods formed into an attractive meal using moulds. Please contact us for further details.

We have already successfully launched our Nutrition course for those working in the care sector and have been asked to develop a course in Gastronomy which will be coming soon.

We can provide training in areas such as phlebotomy, care of medicines, safeguarding adults, awareness of dementia and infection control. All of these courses can be tailor-made to suit your internal policies and specific needs. We offer a complete induction package for your new staff members that can help you to ensure they have an awareness of the required subjects within the twelve week deadline. We train in locations across the UK and are currently applying for Skills Academy Recognition in adult social care.

Call us to discuss what we can do for you and your team.

Clinical

"A very informative and enjoyable training session."

We offer all the elements of clinical training that are needed by nurses and carers. This includes some very specialist courses such as an open course in phlebotomy and specific courses such as awareness of dementia. Please call us to discuss your needs and we may well be able to help. Our trainers are highly qualified with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Closed courses are held at training venues throughout East Anglia or alternatively, courses can be arranged at your own site anywhere in the UK (subject to suitability).

First Aid

"Very good. Felt I have learnt more on this first aid course than others I have attended."

We regularly deliver first aid to all sectors of the community for example; ambulance technicians, nurses, schools staff and Mums and Dads. Whatever your role, whether you are a professional needing first aid in your workplace or a Mum, Dad or Grandparent, first aid can be lifesaving.

Your first aid skills can be lifesavers but like all skills they'll fade if they're not refreshed regularly. And three years between your First Aid at Work training courses is plenty of time for you to forget what to do and when to do it. We deliver a monthly first aid refresher course and we'll be contacting you each year to invite you along. It's a half day course, the core is your resuscitation technique and the session will also focus on those skills that you feel need refreshing.

Food Safety

"Course very informative and easy to follow - trainer very pleasant and easy to understand."

Does your business have a food safety training need? Whether it is a basic awareness of food safety or a CIEH accredited Level 2 qualification we can help. Anyone who handles food as part of their role in the workplace could benefit from food safety training. This could mean working in a kitchen or simply handling sandwiches at lunchtime in an office environment.

Call us to discuss which of our courses would be best for your needs.

Moving & Handling

Important to all of us whether we are office-based, doing manual work, or working in a clinical or care home environment, we all have a duty to protect ourselves from harm.  Over one in three injuries that last for three or more days are related to manual handling. Everyone has a duty to look after their own safety and the safety of others at work.

The Health and Safety Executive reports that of all accidents at work 40 % are related to handling, 24 % to falls and 4 % to trips. Over a third of all accidents resulting in at least a three day absence from work are related to moving and handling. Additionally, over one million people in the UK suffer from Musculo-Skeletal ailments as a result of, or aggrevated by, their jobs.
